Richard Todd was a very famous and well known real professional soldier, actor and gentleman – it was very kind of him to take time in his busy schedule to open the Radio Room in 2005 – He was keen to offer his support and meet as many members as he could – so very typical of him – his presence was a great boost for the Lincoln Short Wave Club, East Kirkby and Amateur Radio. It was very much appreciated. We’ve lost a hero – he will be sadly missed. Peter M0EJL

FB Chris & Mark – Most impressive list of contacts – good to read such encouraging stuff – the SFI is up to the mid 70′s now (120+ is ideal for good DX) and there are more spots appearing on the disc – so it looks like cycle 24 is getting itself established – (not withstanding the prowess of the operators of course!) Have you considered passing on the data to the HF section in RADCOM? – 73 – Peter M0EJL

Well done Ian – we wish you and all the other fund raisers the very best of success for a very improtant cause – as you say the service men and women do as they are told and get on with the job in hand – We are very proud of them and wish Leigh and his colleagues in the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards a safe return and God speed on their tour of operations in Afghanistan.
